I am always looking for new snacks, because every afternoon, around the same time, I have a serious sweet tooth. I don't want to ruin my calories, or my healthy eating, so I need something quick I can grab. I highly recommend this Dark Chocolate Trail Mix. It is both delicious and doesn't ruin my diet. You will love it.
One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to try and snack healthier.
I do really well eating healthy for breakfast and lunch (and even dinner), but 3 o’clock rolls around and I start scrounging for the most unhealthy things I can find in my house.
This dark chocolate trail mix still has the sweet taste of chocolate that I love, but it is much healthier than all those chocolate chip cookies and candy bars I love to consume.
It is so easy to make, and such a versatile recipe. You could switch out any ingredients that you needed, to make it to your liking.
It’s a perfect snack for kids or adults, on the go, or sitting, relaxing, and watching a movie. You will love this.
What other ingredients would be yummy in this mix?
Everything in this, might not be a fan favorite for the whole family, but that’s okay. You can easily switch out ingredients, to make it something the whole family will love.
If you are looking for a few alternatives to switch them out, here is what we recommend:
-Pecans
-Pistachios
-Walnuts
-Sugar Free Chocolate Chips
-Almonds
-Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
-Milk Chocolate Chips
-Cranberries
-Peanut Butter Chips
-Dried apple or banana chips (or any other dried fruit)
-Orange Zest
-Cereal Bits

My favorite thing about dark chocolate is that my kids don't like it so all I have to say is "it's dark chocolate" and they leave it alone! Add this recipe to my mom friendly list lol!
