**** is looking for a Weekend Anchor/MMJ to join our news team. The s uccessful candidate should have previous news anchoring or reporting experience. We are looking for someone who can enterprise stories and excels at breaking news . This person will anchor weekend evening newscasts and MMJ three days a week. Must be a team player.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, mobile, etc.
• Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily
• Demonstrate compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social *** platforms
• Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
• Gather and verify information regarding stories through interview, observation and research.
• Build network of sources who supply information
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education

Responsible for recording and editing local news events.

Job Responsibilities:

• Strong news writing skills and the ability to edit, produce and gather content
• Able to cover breaking/spot news, general news, and feature stories relevant to the San Diego community on your own on-a-daily basis.
• Create web content that complements the station website.
• Report, write and produce packages content for a variety of other platforms.
• Collaborates across all levels, highly organized and can work with digital editors, reporters, assignment editors, and other producers.
• Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local news.
• Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines in a 24/7 duopoly newsroom.
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an *** Universal-designated worksite.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years-experience as a Multi- *** Journalist.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated skills as reporter, photographer and editor.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal.
