Why This Recipe Works
This copycat recipe is easy to make and taste amazing. The texture of the burgers is full of flavor and delicious. It is made with basic ingredients that you can easily find at the store.
This easy step recipe can even be made with chopped steak. Top with bacon and a slice of monterey jack cheese for easy recipe.
Ingredients
- Ground Beef
- Worcestershire sauce
- Lawry’s Seasoning Salt
- Egg (beaten)
- Black Pepper
- Salt
- Onion (sliced)
- Butter
- Slice Button Mushrooms
- Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese– You can also use gouda cheese.

How to Make Texas Roadhouse Roadkill Recipe
- Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2 – In a large bowl, gently mix together the ground beef, tbsps Worcestershire sauce, Lawry’s seasoning salt and egg. Do not over mix.Form the beef mixture into 4 patties.
Step 3 – Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.You can also use extra virgin olive oil. Add the onions to the frying pan. Saute onions for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4 – Then stir in the sliced sautéed mushrooms. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.Cook onions and mushrooms on medium-low heat.
Step 5 – Then add the beef patties to the pan and brown each sides of the patties (1-2 minutes per side).
Step 6 – Transfer the patties to a baking dish. Top each patty with the mushroom and onion mixture.
Step 7 – Cook for 8-10 minutes until the patties are cooked through. Place slice of Monterrey Jack Cheese. Cook in the oven for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese is melted.Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
- 1 Large Egg beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Onion sliced
- 1 Tablespoons Butter
- 8 ounces Sliced Mushrooms
- 6 ounces Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, gently mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt and egg. Do not over mix.
Form the beef mixture into 4 patties. Refrigerate the patties while you prepare the other ingredients.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Add the onions to the pan. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then stir in the sliced mushrooms. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Sauté for 3-4 more minutes until the onions and mushrooms are soft and start to brown. Remove the mixture from the pan to a separate plate.
Then add the beef patties to the pan and brown each sides of the patties (2-3 minutes per side).
Transfer the patties to a baking dish. Top each patty with the mushroom and onion mixture.
Cook for 8-10 minutes until the patties are cooked through.
Top each patty with the shredded Monterey Jack Cheese. Cook in the oven for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven, serve warm and enjoy!
